What is Tyvek?

Tyvek® and DuPont™ are registered trademarks of E.I DuPont de Nemours & Company or its affiliates.

Tyvek® is a 100% synthetic, polyethylene fibre material, positioned irregularly and bonded, manufactured by DuPont de Nemours.

Lightweight, durable and breathable, Tyvek is resistant to water, abrasion, bacterial penetration and ageing.

Tyvek® combines the advantages of paper, film and fabric.

Tyvek® coated for printing

Official DuPont™ Tyvek® converter since 2012, Coating Developpement coats Tyvek® to make it inkjet printable.

The coating of Tyvek® carried out by Coating Developpement in its factory located near Chambéry in France, allows Tyvek to be printed with water-based pigment inks (in particular with Canon, Epson, HP... printers) but also plotters with Latex inks.

Coating Développement has also developed a coating specially adapted to eco-solvent and solvent inks.

Coating by Coating Developpement gives Tyvek® print quality with excellent colour performance.
